End of Term Performance
Each term ELCB and its associated groups prepare pieces for an end of term performance which usually takes place at St Dunstan’s Church, Stepney Green.
This is an excellent opportunity for members to invite friends and family to come along and hear what they’ve been working on.
ELCB has a commitment to support community events and over the years has taken part at many at venues such as Mile End Park, Brick Lane Festival, Weavers Field, Stepping Stones Farm, London Chest Hospital and Glamis Street Basin Dragon Boat Festival. Each Summer, ELCB also performs at several local school and church fetes and in recent years has performed at Shuffle Festival in Tower Hamlets Cemetery, curated by well-known East Londoner, Danny Boyle.
Christmas concerts have often been in the open air in well-known public spaces including Watney Street and in Canary Wharf and Trafalgar Square.
This July 24th, we have been invited to play at the Shuffle Festival, organised by East Londoner (and Olympic Opening Ceremony curator) Danny Boyle. The festival focuses on ‘interconnected’ community and culture, and will be taking place in the wonderful Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park .
Each Summer ELCB rounds off the year with a picnic concert in King Edward Memorial Park in which members can also take the opportunity to play solos. This is a great opportunity for members and their families to celebrate the years achievements and picnic in the sunshine.
